Penetration Testing Distribution is a special Operating system that specially designed for security training students and practitioners of information security.Most of the famous and powerful distribution is Linux based operating system.

Here I will share few penetration testing Distribution.

First I would like to share the details about the Blackbuntu.

Blackbuntu is Ubuntu 10.10 base distro for Penetration Testing with GNOME Desktop Environment.Blackbuntu is a Linux distribution for penetration testing which is specially designed for training security students and practitioners of information security. It is currently built on Ubuntu 10.10 with the Gnome desktop environment. Blackbuntu will also include the KDE desktop in the final release of Blackbuntu Community Edition 0.3. It is not included in 0.1, 0.2 or the current 0.3 betas.

The System requirements of Blackbuntu:

  • 1GHz x86 processor
  • 768 MB of system memory (RAM)
  • 10 GB of disk space for installation
  • Graphics card capable of 800×600 resolution
  • DVD-ROM drive or USB port

The second penetration testing distribution is BackBox Linux.

Reading & Writing Operation of DRAM

In Dynamic Random Access Memory CELL , transistor acts as a switch to Close (allowing current to flow) when voltage applied in address line or Open (no current flow) when no voltage applied in address line.Address Line also known as word line .Which use to signal the transistor to close or open. During the Write operation ,a voltage is applied on the bit line and a signal applied to the address line to close the transistor.Then the voltage applied on the bit line will transfer to capacitor and store in the capacitor However the capacitor has tendency to discharge and has to refresh to maintain the bit. While in Reading Operation ,the instruction find the bit store using the address line to read the data or bit.
