Image
Virtual Machine Disk is one type of virtual disk format developed by VMware. It only able to open with VMware or Oracle Virtual box. I was stunned when I found that if Hyper-v is installed, you can't install VMware on the same machine. So instead of uninstall Hyper-v, I have to convert the vmdk file format to vhd in order to use in Hyper-v. The tools I use was listed below and the details. The converter can be download at microsoft website: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34591 For more information you can visit : http://blogs.technet.com/b/yongrhee/archive/2012/09/28/vmware-to-hyper-v-converter-microsoft-virtual-machine-converter-solution-accelerator.aspx =p sure If you want to install the vmware by disable the feature of Hyper-V and install VMware.
