Raspberry Pi

What is Raspberry Pi?
Raspberry Pi is a computer with a credit-card size that can plug in TV and a keyboard! It's capable as others computer can do, for example spreadsheets,word-processing and even game! Raspberry make up It also plays high-definition video. Purpose of Raspberry Pi is to let kids all over the world to learn programming.

Raspberry Pi recommend Debian as our default distribution, Raspbian is optimised version of Debian . It’s straightforward to replace the root partition on the SD card with another ARM Linux distro if you want to use something else (there are several available on our downloads page). The OS is stored on the SD card.

Raspberry pi have 2 model,Model A and Model B. Model A used to be 128Mb Ram but it has been redesigned to have 256Mb RAM, one USB port and no Ethernet (network connection). Model B has 256Mb RAM, 2 USB port and an Ethernet port. The Model A will cost $25 and the Model B $35, plus local taxes. The Raspberry Pi measures 85.60mm x 53.98mm x 17mm, with a little overlap for the SD card and connectors which project over the edges. It weighs 45g.

There is composite and HDMI out on the board, so you can hook it up to an old analogue TV, to a digital TV or to a DVI monitor (using a cheap adapter for the DVI). There is no VGA support, but adaptors are available, although these are relatively expensive. The chip specifically supports HDMI. VGA is considered to be an end-of-life technology, so supporting it doesn’t fit with our plans at the moment.
