Star topology

Star topology

Star topology also is another example of dedicated point-to-point link which link to a central controller(hub).
Unlike mesh topology ,star topology does not allow direct traffic between devices. The Hub act as an exchange:if one device wants to send data to another it sends the data to the controller/hub ,which then relays the data to the other connected device.

Advantage

  1. easy to install and reconfigure.
  2. robustness.Wont effect the system if one of the link is fails.
  3. Easy fault identification and fault isolation.

Disadvantage

  1. dependency of whole topology on one single point,the hub.
  2. more cable need compare to others topology like bus and ring.
Star topology is usually using in Local-area network (LAN)

Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) also known as Transport Protocol. TCP is one of the two original components of the suite, complementing the Internet Protocol (IP), and therefore the entire suite is commonly referred to as TCP/IP.Transmission Control Protocol is built on top of IP. Protocol mean the rules in order two devices or more to communicate with each others.In others meaning, Devices with TCP can only communicate with devices equip with TCP. Android File transfer basically got two method or format which are Media device (MTP) and also for camera (PTP). However , the MTP is only suitable for windows or Mac computer, it was not compatible with the Linux. The PTP only allow you to transfer photos only but not others files.
