Speed up computer using virtual memory

Virtual memory actually is space reserve in the hard drive to help the RAM .It plays the role of an extension in physical RAM.Virtual memory need to be set at a optimum value .It cannot be too high or too low to speed up your computer.

The value you need to set should be around the ratio

RAM:VIRTUAL MEMORY;
2:1

The value cannot set too high because the virtual memory is not a real RAM .It cannot fully function as RAM.

The one of the problem the computer is slow is because the space inside the hard drive is become less and less and the virtual memory will even make the spaces inside the hard drive lesser.

The value should be set identically just to make sure the virtual memory is fully use.

  1. Right click My Computer > Properties
  2. In "Advanced" tab on top click "Settings" under "Performance"
  3. Select "Advanced" tab and click "Change" button
  4. Choose one drives Select "No paging file", pressing "Set" button each time
  5. Now select drive C and select Custom size then specify same Initial and Maximum value for the amount of space you want to reserve for virtual memory.
  6. Press "Set" button again and press OK.
After that you need to restart to take effect.
